Atheists always complain that God is terrible if he allows children to die and horrible events to occur etc...?

The reason why there is evil is because we have free will. Nothing more, nothing less. If God stopped free will he would be a dictator. I consider the fact that we've been overdue for m extinction for last few hundred thousand years a miracle in its own right.
