I've recently become religious and people are warning me to not go 'extreme' help?
Okay, so I was born a Muslim, but I rarely practiced the religion and wasn't interested in learning much about it. Recently, however i've changed. I've started reading all the 5 prayers, am constantly researching online/watching videos, reading the quran, and listening to lectures. So now everyone is all "Omg i see you're so religious now.. is everything okay?" People have started treating me differently. Everyone has been saying oh "Don't go extreme. Balance is a key" Now.. I don't know what this extreme is. I think people are referring to things to like.. "Don't forget your social life, or Don't stop talking to all guys, or Don't stop listening to Music" (They cant be referring to Jihad and all, because I'm only 18 and a female living in Canada) If I forget all that (music, social life, guys) is it all really going extreme? How do I maintain a balance, if ANY balance at all for that matter.
