Continue academic studies or take a skill course?

i dropped out of sch when i was sec 3 because my parents cant afford to pay for my fees. And realising how important is education now and that i have alot to pick i too feel like i should move ahead. But should i continue from where i stop or should i just take a skill course eg. Make up or cooking or an aesthaticion diploma??
