What can i do to make sure i get into my 1st choice University next year (UK)?

I am planning to go to university next year and i have a firm idea of the university i want to desperately go to, but i'm not sure whether i will be accepted or not. I have the correct UCAS points they are looking for and i have Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy also, but i'm just worried they may not accept me and if they don't then i'm stuck because that was the main university i wanted to attend. How can i improve my chances of getting in? By the way, i'm also considered as a mature student as i'm 22 (23 by next Sept) so i'm really hoping on getting in.
