Would a doctor prescribe clomid on your first visit?

Ive always had very irregular periods and years ago I had a lot of blood work done for it but the doctors said there was nothing wrong and since i wasnt ready to have a baby i shouldnt worry about it. Now that we have decided to have a baby ive made an appointment with an ob/gyn. Since ive already had all the blood work done would this new doctor prescribe clomid on my first visit with him? Im 28 years old now, bloodwork was done when I was 20
